The Black Sea is an inland sea of the Atlantic Ocean basin. Bosphorus connects it to the Marmara Sea,
then through the Dardanelles (these passages are often called the Black Sea straits) to the Aegean and Mediterranean seas.
Kerch Strait connects the Sea of Azov. From the north into the sea cuts deep the Crimean peninsula. On the surface of the Black Sea water passes the boundary between Europe and Asia Minor.
Gelendzhik - a small cozy town in Russia's Krasnodar region on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus with a population of about 65 thousand people.
It is the center of the "Resort of Gelendzhik", which is often called The Big Gelendzhik, which also includes the towns of Arkhipo-Osipovka, Betta, Krynica, Praskoveevka, Dzhanhot, Divnomorskoe, and Kabardinka.
Gelendzhik is located on the shores of Gelendzhik Bay of The Black Sea, which has a horseshoe shape. There is one of the longest waterfronts in the world in Gelendzhik. Its length is 14 km.
Krasnodar region is in the south of the country. The Black Sea in the summer cools coast with breezes. In winter, on the contrary, it is warming, giving the accumulated heat of hot days.
High Caucasus Mountains detain cold air currents coming from the north.
The mild climate, abundant sunshine, warm sea, evergreen vegetation and picturesque countryside, clean air and fragrant dressed virgin forest mountains - all this has a beneficial effect on the human body and soul.
Arkhipo-Osipovka (Arhipka) is a resort on the Black Sea shore, with a population of about 8000 people. It is located at a distance of 55 km from Gelendzhik, 15 km from the village Dzhubga, 120 km from Krasnodar and 180 km from the Olympic Sochi.
Sochi held XXII Winter Olympic Games in 2014 and since that time, the city began to take even more visitors from all over the world.
